When arranging a mortgage, people don’t often value the importance of protection. We take out insurance on cars, holidays and even phones….. but not always on a property.

A mortgage is arguably the biggest commitment most people will enter into throughout their entire lives, and due to the financial environment clients often have to borrow at, but not beyond their means.

However, over the years I have helped people through some of the best times of their life, but I’ve also had to assist those going through any number of unforeseen and unexpected events that life has unkindly thrown at them. This has included helping clients cope with the loss of a partner, clients becoming seriously ill and being unable to work. This unfortunate events can lead to difficulties for clients when it comes to trying to cope financially when income levels have either dropped significantly or completely.

It’s circumstances like now that that make reviewing our protection needs more important than ever. Of course, not everyone will need cover, or can perhaps only afford some cover, but this could be vital in ensuring you’ve done everything you can to prevent losing what the majority spend so many of our lives working to own; our home.

If you would like some advice on what protection needs you might have and how best to protect you and your family against those risks, then contact me today for a free initial consultation.

At worst, you will get re-assurance that no action is required and what you have in place currently is adequate. At best, you will get arranged the cover that you need; whether that is protection against the loss of earnings through ill health, being diagnosed with a critical illness, or death.

Your own views and budget will dictate what cover, if any, you commit to taking out. I am just here to offer advice and arrange any agreed upon plans.
